Journal Notes on pg. 27-41

Unity is when all the individual parts come together. I chose this picture because all
the pieces of artwork come together to make a beautiful display. This photo was taken in
my AP English of our visual representations.

This picture was taken at the Labyrinth at school. It portrays the Rule of Thirds because
as you can see I chose to have the rock near the edge of the picture. In my opinion it attracts
more attention, rather than having it in the middle.

This is a picture of tree bark. I chose it to portray the idea of texture.
I tried to evoke the feeling that you are actually standing right in
front of the tree and can reach out and touch it.

This is a picture to show balance. The poles and the lines make it
somewhat balanced. It was taken on the pathway to Russell.

I chose this picture to portray pattern because the flower petals
are all the same. This was taken at school near the Mary statue.

This is an example of radial balance. It is the wheel
of one of my friend's cars.

I chose this picture for color because it shows
different shades of blue. This is the pool at school.
